Mariah sighed heavily as she clicked past her way on the familiar video-hosting site YouTube. Another slow day and it was beginning to tire her out. Nothing ever happened in the neighborhood and it wasn't as if the town had much to offer. However, to see nothing that appealed to her current mood on the website made her shoulders heavier than before.
The brunette swung around in her chair and stood up from her desk. Opening the front door, Mariah exited her house and walked until she reached the arcade near her house. She found a game called Time Crisis and instantly became intrigued. Picking up the fake gun, she clicked past the title screen and began firing away at the pixilated figures on-screen. More than an hour had past before she knew it.
She sighed and placed the gun back in it's holster. "Why are games so addictive?" she mumbled aloud.
