(Discusion Thread)The world is veiled in
darkness. The wind stops,
the sea is wild,
and the earth begins to rot.
The people wait,
their only hope, a prophecy.....
'When the world is in darkness
Four Warriors will come.....'
After a long journey, four
young warriors arrive,
each holding a Crystal. Just as the profecy foretold four warriors arrive at the Castle Cornelia. Each of them holding their respective crystals. The four walked into the Throne room. The self proclaimed 'leader' of the gang, Zephyr, walked in front of them and greeted the King with the utmost respect. He wore naught but simple traveling clothes which consisted of a blue vest over a green shirt and blue pants. He also wore a leather belt which held a small bag of gold in it, his personal savings. On his back he carried a fairly simple long sword crafted of durable iron, both on the blade and handle. Said handle was a basic T shape but with a spiraling design.

Ashley walked into the room, bowing slightly to the king as well to show her respect to him, wanting to speak but holding it back as that may have upset the king. She was just a small time thief, nothing to big and she wore a black T-shirt and black pants, her hair also tied up into a ponytail. On her side were two daggers that made a strange sound when they hit her pants.

Next to Zephyr was a kid who seemed to come up shorter than the other two. At first glance, this monk with Nunchaku seemed to be just a regular little kid, besides his teal hair. He had shorts on and a regular shirt. This was.. until you looked at his wings on his back. There were two little dragon wings that seemed to be useful for hovering but flying.. not so much. This little boy seemed so happy but when he came in... he didn't think enough to bow to the king.

At the end of the line was a small sized person. She was a koshare, her outfit being a white longsleeved top and the lower part a white skirt with blue stripped edge. In her hand she was carrying a regular wooden staff. She bowed to the king with great respect, knowing she was also there for something important and would accomplish what she had to do with her team.

The king's Chancellor motioned for the travelers to rise, "Welcome travelers. I am told you carry Crystals. Is this true?" At this time the four travelers presented their four crystals. They each had a distinct color of yellow, red, blue, and green. Zephyr held the green crystal which represented the element of Wind. The others represented Earth, Fire, and Water respectively. "It's just as Lukahn's prophecy foretold: 'When darkness veils the world, four Warriors of Light shall come'." He nodded in satisfaction. The chancellor turned to the king and spoke with doubt, "Your Majesty, we cannot be certain that these are the warriors foretold by the prophecy". King Cornelius nodded once more before speaking again, "Yet they stand before us with the crystals. I cannot dismiss this as mere coincidence. Crystal bearers, there is a task I would ask of you. Will you not rescue my daughter, Sarah?"
"Of course your Majesty. I would do this task alone if need be." Zephyr remarked before King Cornelius gave him a stern look. "Ahem." The chancellor gathered the travelers attention once again. "Garland, a knight once in his Majesty's service, has abducted Princess Sarah. I ask for your aid in the name of his Majesty, King Cornelius. Garland has taken refuge in the Chaos Shrine which lies to our north. Of course we did attempt to save the princess ourselves... But Garland is the finest swordsman in the kingdom. We have none that can match him." The chancellor finished rather reluctantly.
"I have also heard that you wish to journey to the continent to our north. The bridge leading north was lost long ago, making passage impossible. If you can rescue Sarah, I will have the bridge rebuilt as a sign of my gratitude." The King stood from his throne and with a wave of his arm dismissed the travelers, "Go now, Warriors of Light, and do not fail me!"

"Yes your Majesty. Gosh, that guy sounded so full of himself huh guys? I can't stand authority figures like him." Zephyr asked as the group as they traveled north through a small forest and towards the Chaos Shrine.

''The king must be desperated that his daughter has been taken away from him. It could explain why he is so full of himself, like you say.'' Villias says trying to find an explanation on the king's behavior since she wasn't someone to judge badly the others. ''He will probably feel better once we rescue her and bring her back to him.''

Zephyr placed his hands behind his head and looked up through the trees, "I guess so." He sighed. "But what can I say... I'd probably be desparate to get my daughter back if she'd been kidnapped. So I guess i'm in the wrong huh?"

Villias says looking at him, then away ''But if this person we need to fight is the best swordman, then we're going to have to do our best. We can not lose.'' She says then takes a look at the crystal she had, the red one, wondering to herself what it was exactly.
(Was wondering... do the characters all know each other's names?)

Zephyr turned his head toward Ashley and grabbed his own crystal, "Supposedly they're the source of the four elements. Yes these little trinkets house the elements of Earth-" His eyes darted to Dalton, "Fire-" to Villias, "Water-" This time he looked directly at Ashley and then held up his own Crystal, "And Wind."
Zephyr peered down at Villias while walking backwards, "Don't worry little miss. I will never loose." He said quite confidently. Of course this confidence was shortly lost as he walked head first into a tree. He held his hurt spot and swore quitely, "Damn it that hurt!"

Villias couldn't help but laugh a little at the clumsyness of Zephyr, yet to not lack any respect she asks ''Are you all right?'' and walks up to him holding out her staff just in case he needed any help. After all she was the supporter of the group, though she didn't know much magic other than healing and maybe a few more.

((I forgot to mention to the ONLY magic user that there are four spells she would know at this point; Cure (healing spell) Dia (damage to undead) Blink (Raises casters evasion) and Protect (raises an allies defence). You can know more basic spells, but you'll get more as we go along.))

(One thing though, it's Chua not Dalton ^_^)
Suddenly something came running at the group! "Hey wait up!" A little kid's voice says. "I was looking at something and you all disappeared!" He adds when he catches up and was breathing quickly. It was Chua who nobody seemed to notice was gone.
(I should have used Dak since he as a character was earth based XD Dalton wouldn't have mattered but Chua was made to be a wind character so him having earth will make this fun ^_^)

"Yea... I don't think that would work..." Zephyr said as they all continued to walk. "See, the Chancellor said he was a knight once right? That means that he'll probably have armor all over his body to protect him." As Zephyr said this the team came out of the forrest and into a wide open field. Strait ahead there was more land but to the left and right they were surrounded by ocean. Futher to the right was the dismantled bridge in the distance.

Villias made a few steps in front of the group to have a sight on the field. She looks around and smiles. She did like the way this place looked ''I feel like I could run all over the place without any worries.'' She says and turns to look at the group ''But we've got more important to do than that.'' She tells them with a smile.

"Right. Let's press on." Zephyr said. Nearly half an hour later they would arrive at the ruins that were once the Chaos Shrine. The structure still held strong but it looked... VERY old. A few pillars here and there had crumbled due to their age. All together the place held a very dark and ominous feeling. "Well... Lets head... inside..." Zephyr said somewhat nervously.

Villias didn't have anything to say and didn't want to do any useless comments on the place. It was obvious that it was old and not fun to look at, plus this dark feeling was giving her shivers through all her body. She stayed close to Zephyr since he was the closest one to her and waited for everyone to gather before entering.
