Naoto slung her bag over her shoulders and approached the house surrounded by officers and yellow tape. "What's the situation?" she asked one officer. He turned to her and motioned with his head to a trail of blood leading up the porch steps through a smashed in door. "Ah." Naoto looked over at Jamie. "Can you handle a little blood?"

Naoto turned her body towards her. Her brow was furrowed in confusion at Jamie's words. "Well, it depends on what you have I suppose," she said.

"Do you need any Rubber gloves for a more thorough investigation?" Jamie asked (as she knew lots of Crime Scene Investigations always use them)

Naoto nodded. Although she knew that there would be gloves provided by the forensics team, she may as well accept some from the girl. After all, she did seem to want to be useful to the investigation.
"Yes, those would be nice," she said to Jamie.

Naoto pocketed the gloves handed to her and acknowledged the girl with a nod of her cap before turning towards the taped off area. With a flash of her badge access was easily granted to the pair as they walked onto the scene and approached the cluster of officers surrounding the house. Naoto nodded to them as she stepped through the caved in front door and into the home. A break in was what Naoto theorized as she glanced at the broken wood of the door that was split into two. It would be less than 2 feet in that the stench hit her. Blood.
"If the smell bothers you," Naoto said to Jamie. "Cover your nose with your sleeve. We're going to be heading straight to the source very soon."

Jamie smiled as she was pleased with the compliment and followed real close to Naoto as she replied "Thanks."

Naoto smiled at Jamie and opened the door leading to the scene. Once she stepped into the room, the young detective couldn't help but grimace at the sight. A few members from the forensics department was dusting the bedroom furniture as well as the walls in an effort to collect some means of evidence. However, this didn't pique her interest. Rather, it was the corpse sprawled on the carpeting with it's limbs facing random directions. And the worst part about it was that it's head was sliced cleanly from the shoulders. And was missing.
The only reason Naoto could recognize it as being female was the fact that it was clothed in women's clothing with outlines of breasts visible from the beneath the top it wore. Without such, she would be at a loss.
Naoto glanced over at Jamie to see her reaction to being present in such a situation.

Jamie looked around carefully an then glanced over at Naoto an asked "May I be of any assistance?"

Naoto was slightly stunned by her reaction (or lack thereof) and it took a few seconds for her to respond. "Ah, yes actually." Naoto touched the brim of her cap as usual as she continued. "I would like for you to ask one of the forensics men who is free if they know a time of death and or a murder weapon at this time. For now, I shall examine the body and try to obtain an ID on the victim."

Jamie saw a forensics officer who wasn't doing much and asked "Do you know the time of death?"
