Biography:
To an isolate place in the world, where no one knew about and never discovered, where no one has ever put a foot in. A secret place where was living a race unknown by anyone, the kilians. This place looked like to be paradise with the vast plains, the lakes, the forests, the mountains. A light was lighting the day and then darkness was taking place when this light was fading. In their sky it was replaced with a white glowing light acting just like the moon. In fact, Sun and Moon were reflected in this place from the real world. For it to be like this, two stones were kept hidden somewhere in this unknown place. The stone of Noctis, spirit of the night and the stone of Dies, spirit of the day. Both stones were having immense power, giving life to this place by playing the role of day and night, giving this place a normal time. The kilians live there. They are a race who live peacefully there, never being threatened by anything because of their hidden place. This race, small sized people who all without exception wear a mage looking robe. They have their legends, saying that there is a god who protects them, which is why they are not threatened by anything and don't have their life in danger, but they can still die of old age, which they wonder why, yet they say the god needs to make place for the newborns, so the god chooses the ancients one to replace them with new ones. Accepting this theory. Sometime some of them could fall ill and die from illness. This was something new they had to add to the theory and without wanting to offence the god, they thought it was because they were over-populated and some needed to be taken away younger or that it was a test. A test of what? They were not sure, but again they accepted this so they wouldn't go against the god's wills. With this, they discovered the art of magic with years. Using the elements and thinking it was a gift of the god for them to accept the death of the ancients to make place to the newborns.
Arlekin was born there and grew there as a unique child in his family. Yet the Kilians are one big family, so they get to know everyone pretty well. They aren't a big race, they are small in number. They eat vegetables all the time since they don't hunt, but they could eat meat if they could get some. Arlekin had his father being a talented magician who could use the four elements. Earth, water, fire and wind. He could use them all. Kilians could start learning magic only when they reached a certain age. They had to be able to see good from bad. They could start learning it at the age of 7 years old. After 7 years of living, most of the young Kilians were learning the art, by starting to choose an element and then follow the lessons to it. Arleking started to learn ice magic, which is a part of the water element. It was a part of their ''school'' so everyone could use magic to help each others when they were in need. Arlekin was one student who had a hard time learning this as he was a clumsy little guy. He could mess up a little, failing his experiments and causing accidents sometime, but was always forgiven for this. One day, he still couldn't get to learn magic well. Everyone thought that the god might have not wanted him to know magic. Arlekin thought the same thing and then went two years without doing magic. After these years, he decided, determined, that he would go back to school and get taught magic again so he could be like the others. This time, he did succeed, getting the appreciation of everyone. Happy of this, Arlekin caught up his lost years quite fast, yet still with some accidents at some places. He was getting better in the art of manipulating the ice magic.
Arlekin was the type to never go explore places alone, fearing there might be something dangerous still. As he was afraid of death and never wanted to die, he was a little paranoid, imagining things sometime. So to him, there was always the possibility of something dangerous could be outside of where they live. One day, though he went out with someone to go get something for the others that was quite far away. Him and this other kilian, who was one of the strongest, went together to the heart of a mountain of the place. Once inside, the kilian could use fire to light the way and walk safely inside. They reached a room that seemed to really be the heart of the mountain. The room was lit with a orange and purple light. A mix of a dark blue with yellow giving this color. On a pillar, high enough were two stones there that were glowing. The kilian and Arlekin walked to it to examine and see what it was. Yet they couldn't tell what it was. That's when an earthquake occured, shaking the mountain and even the whole land. Everyone could feel it. It was the very first earthquake that happened there. Right away, Arlekin and the kilian thought the god could be angry that both of them found this place. The earthquake made the ceiling fall. The kilian asked Arlekin to use ice to block the danger, but Arlekin was too scared of death to listen to him, causing the kilian to die crushed by the hard rocks. Once it all ended, Arleking was safe, next to the pillar that was still standing, but he could unfortunately see the dead body of his friend lying under the rocks. Arleking could only start to cry not really having an idea what he could do. After an hour staying there, thinking about this injustice, he got up slowly, still crying over the death of his friend. He turned around and saw the pillar was now at his height. He looked at the stones that were glowing even more than before. He thought about taking them, but decided not to, not knowing if there could be bad consequences following the act, but then thought about his village. Maybe they could study the stones more and find information about it. Arleking got back his courage and took the stones, determined to get them back to the village. But before leaving he froze the body of his friend to prevent it from decomposing there. He wanted the others to get him back to his place. After many hours of looking for the exit, he finaly got out not in a really good shape. Luckily for him, at the exit were more kilians there waiting to see if Arlekin and his friend would come out. Arlekin told them about the tragedy. Immediately, three kilians enter the mountain to look for the body while two others were bringing Arlekin back to the village.
Once back, they let him rest, not knowing he was carrying two stones with him. He wakes up 10 hours later only to find out a bigger tragedy. Where he was, he could see two bodies dead. One lying on the floor and the other one sitting on a chair yet they were old. They were the ones who brought him back and were keeping an eye on him. Arlekin got up quickly and walked outside where he sees more dead bodies lying down, all old as well. He even found his friend with the three others who were charged to bring the dead body, yet he was the only one who didn't age. Arlekin dropped on his knees, holding his head, not believing what he was seeing. He cried and cried. Crying for every single kilians who had unfairly died. Was the god that angry that he had to take everyone away? Arlekin thought that, but he then remembered he was the only one alive in all this place. He couldn't find an explication to this all and he couldn't burry everyone, so instead he went freezing every bodies, one by one. He took a few days to finish his task and then leave this silent land. He walked long enough until he arrived to a new land he didn't know about, Earth.
As he was walking, he saw something he couldn't believe. A living being. An animal, which he never saw before. That was the first time. He went to ask the animal if he could find a place to rest since he walked without stopping, yet all he got for an answer was a glance from a deer that then simply walked away. Feeling ignored, Arlekin kept walking hoping he could find a good place to rest. He found a small village where he was seeing people walking everywhere. It's in this place that he knew about violence. As he got in there, already a small group of teenagers went to him and laughed at him without a specific reason. Arlekin got pushed down and the kids started ''playing'' with him, being merciless, kicking him and punching him when he was trying to get up. His arrival in this world was at a bad start. An adult then came over to stop the fight by scaring the kids. The strong man helped Arlekin to get up and looked if he was okay. After a small conversation, the man took Arlekin in his arms and walked to his house with him where he took care of his wounds. He fed him, took care of him for a few days. That's where Arlekin discovered about more things he could eat now, which he appreciated well and after knowing the man better, he got friend with him, still appreciating the help he got. Arlekin got to be walking with this man in the village now just for his safety. By staying with this man, Arlekin now knew that he had to fight to survive if he was going alone. The man agreed with him and helped him train a little with a staff.
One day, the man had to leave Arlekin because he was needed somewhere and couldn't bring the kilian with him. Arlekin stayed in his house for a few days and never heard of his friend again. He decided to leave this village at night and now was walking alone again, watching his surrounding, practicing his magic and remembering the tragedy he lived in his homeland...
Personality:
Clumsy and shy, but more clumsy than shy. He's often thinking, trying to figure out many things. Arlekin is the kind to be easely scared by his surrounding, yet he still goes and walks alone most of the time. His temper is pretty cool, he doesn't get angry often and when he does, most of the time it doesn't look too credible. He can be found crying too sometime, for the reason that he remembers how hard it is to be the last survivor of a kind. Overall he's a kind person, yet can still be hard to talk to.
